West Virginia

As we often do, we went to Berkeley Springs, WVA for a long weekend over our spring break. It was unseasonably warm there, as it has been at home, too, and the kids played in an icy mountain stream next to our cabin. The little friend in the top photo came with her parents, too (we're friends from Aggie's preschool) and we made s'mores-- although it was almost too hot to be near the roaring fire!

Whew, my feet ache to think of walking in that cold, icy water, but it was fun to the ones really doing it! It looks like a beautiful spot, so glad you go away for a bit. I walked in 35 degrees this morning at 6:30 am, but now (2:40 pm) it is in the
70's here. Yes, the weather is unpredictable and strange. Have fun in Texas, Amelia.
